‘Titli’ and ‘Teenakhon’ came out successfully at the SSAFF 2014
‘Titli’ directed by Kanu Behl and Bauddhayan Mukherji’s ‘Teenkahon’ came out with flying colors in the recently concluded, Seattle South Asian Film Festival. Titli won the Jury Award for Best Feature Film in the Festival, whereas ‘Teenkahon’ bagged the audience award for the best feature. Prasanna Vithanage, renowned Sri Lankan Filmmaker was given the ‘Tasveer Emerald Award’ for his unquestionable contributions to the Sri Lankan Cinema.
Tasveer SSAFF 2014 Audience Choice Award for Best Documentary was given to ‘Are you Listening?’ directed by Kamar Ahmed Simon. ‘Jaya’ by Puja Maewal won the 2014 audience choice award for best short film.
‘Titli’ is one real gem of a film, and it is produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films and Dibakar Banerjee Productions Pvt. Ltd. The movie showcases the story of ‘Titli’ the youngest member of a carjacking family. He is very much frustrated about his family business, and he always plans things to combat it. Titli’s marriage changes his life from grass root level as he finds an unlikely ally in his new wife, Neelu.
Titli stars, Ranvir Shorey, Amit Sial, Shashank Arora, Lalit Behl and Shivani Raghuvanshi in the lead roles.
