Royals won the ‘Song of the Year’ in Grammy

LordeElla Maria Lani Yelich-O’Connor renowned as Lorde is a growing sensation in the Global Musical World. The recent news regarding the singer is about her new song ‘Royals’. Royals’ won the ‘Song of the Year’ award at the 56th annual Grammy Awards and the singer also won the ‘best pop solo performance trophy’ for the same song.

Lorde received the award at the annual ceremony in Los Angeles, and she was accompanies by Joe Little. The duo wrote the song together, and their perfect creative bonding was clearly visible during the time of award receiving ceremony.

“This is the one thing that I did not expect the most about tonight. I have been so inspired by all of your vocal work at some point in my life, so thank you”, said an excited Lord.

In a tough competition, ‘Royals’ competed with “Roar” by Katy Perry, “Same love” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis and “Just give me a reason” by Pink. After a tough round of jurisdiction, Lorde’s Royals emerged as the winner, and the song came out with flying colors.
