JIFF 2014 is Just Days Away

6th JIFFThe 6th edition of Jaipur International Film Festival is all scheduled to begin from February 1st and it will run through February 5th. The festival is slowly gaining popularity in the recent years, and now it is proclaiming its presence in the Global Film World. The opening ceremony of the festival will be conducted at Rajmandir Cinema on February 1, 2014 evening. The event will witness eminent personalities from World Cinema assembling in one roof, and this will be an absolutely mesmerizing sight.

The opening movie of the festival is Zinda Bhag, a Pakistani movie which portrays the life of three young men who try to escape the reality of their everyday lives by putting their very lives at stake. This fiction film is directed by Meenu Gaur and Farjad Nabi, and the performance of Nasuruddeen Shah is one of the main highlights. He has played his character to perfection, and it has gained highly positive reviews from all corners. The film will be screened on February 1st, 2014 evening at Rajmandir Cinema Hall after the opening ceremony.

The closing movie of the festival is ‘Touring Talkies’ directed by Gajendra Ahire. This film portrays the story of traveling movie tents which were quite common in India during the latter half of the 20th Century. The protagonist of the movie is Chandi, and she runs a touring talkie tent called Chandi Touring Talkies. The film showcases her struggle to save her touring talkies, and this movie is an absolute homage to the Indian Film Industry which celebrates its 100 glorious years. Touring Talkies will be screened on February 5th, 2014 evening at Golcha Cinema after the closing ceremony.
