JIFF: Painted in the Colors of Rajasthan
Jaipur International Film Festival is one of the fast growing film fests in India, and this event is also gradually making its presence in the Global Film World. JIFF 2014 will begin on February 1st and will run through February 5th. This year, the festival is much bigger and mightier than the previous years, and organizers are trying to make this event splendid in all manners.
The opening ceremony of the festival will be conducted at Rajmandir Cinema on February 1, 2014 evening. The event will witness eminent personalities from World Cinema assembling in one roof, and this will be an absolutely mesmerizing sight. The chief minister of Rajasthan and 7 aspiring filmmakers will also make their presence in the ceremony, and invitation letters have already been mailed to them.
In the 2014 edition, the festival will honor RajShri productions with a life time achievement award. JIFF will also pay its tribute to noted writer Vijay Dan Deta who has written many stories about Rajasthan and scripts for film industry. The festival will also hold a discussion on the topic “Film city and ruling government’s agenda: hoax or truth at Chamber Bhawan – RCCI on February 2, 2014 at 12 p.m.
