Pune International Film Festival is one of the most reputed and Influential film festivals in the global film world. The 12th edition of this film fest is scheduled from 09th – 16th January 2014, and it will be organized by the Pune Film Foundation in association with the Government of Maharashtra.

The recent news from this corner is regarding the call for entries to participate in this festival. This International Film Festival is now calling entries for the world competition as well as non competition sections.

The festival will feature a World Competition Section for feature films, and it will be judged by International Juries. The best film will get a cash award of $ 20,000 and the best director will get an amount of $ 10,000. Apart from the World cinema section, there will be Marathi Cinema Section and Student Film Section.

The last date of submission in the World Cinema Section was 31st October 2013, and for Marathi Cinema Section, it is 30th November 2013. In the student competition section, the last date for submission is 30th November 2013. 10th November 2013 is the last date of submission for the theme design competition.

The film festival will be conducted in seven venues and they are, City Pride Kothrud, City Pride Abhiruchi, City Pride R Deccan, City Pride Satara Road, National Film Archive of India, E Square and Inox.
