Kidnapped God Selected To Barrquilla Film Festival
Gabriel Paez’s documentary “Sacachún, the miracle of the kidnapped God” has been officially selected to chip in BAQLAB of the Barrquilla Film Festival, Colombia – 2013.
This documentary puts in the picture, a forgotten town, where, exists the clear memory of a story told by grandparents becomes a powerful argument in their struggle; where elders daydream the return of their ancient saint, San Biritute, kidnapped 60 years ago by the government. Produced by Isabel Rodas under FILMARTE, this documentary casts Angela de Balon and Arcadio Balon in lead.
BAQLAB was created by The International Film Festival of Barranquilla as a commitment to reinforce the progress of film projects and new talent in Latin America and Caribbean. The first edition will be held BAQLAB in FICBAQ frame from 18 to 22 March 2013.
Talking about this 32 year old director, Gabriel Paez is a Graduate from Ecuador, who did completed his Post graduate degree in cinematography and SICA Management Assistance in Argentina and Master of Art Theory at UNLP Argentina.
