Upcoming Marathi movie directed by Debut film makers Wasim and Tahir Maner, �Hou De Jarasa Ushir� competes for Oscar 2013.
The movie has screened at California, Laemmle Theater at Fallbrook from November 23rd to 29th as part of its Oscar qualifying run. It will contend for the �Best Picture� category at the Oscars.
�Hou De Jarasa Ushir� is the story of three people working in a software company, fighting a lonely battle trying to balance work and life. The film cast is very excited to have reached this level and hope that their movie would make it�s well deserved spot in the hearts of the jury as well as people worldwide.
�Color of Sky�, the Indian film directed by Dr.Biju will contend for the �Best Picture� category at the Oscars. The film is all about a 60-year-old man lives on an isolated island. He visits the nearby harbor in a motor boat once a month to sell handicrafts. A young burglar keeps tabs on him and one day jumps onto the motor boat and demands money. The old man remains calm and takes the motor boat towards his island where the young man remains trapped. He meets the people who live with the old man, a 7-year-old boy, a 20-year-old deaf and dumb young women and a middle-aged man with a stammer. The intruder confronts rare life situations for the first time. His concept about life changes as he understands how nature blends with life. The film is the �color� of life, wind, sea, nature and so on.
The film has already screened in a bunch of International film festivals like 15th Shanghai International Film Festival, 8th Eurasia International Film Festival, 48th Chicago International Film festival, South Asian , Vancouver, Canada, 18th Kolkata International film festival, India and Tallinn Black Night Film Festival, Estonia is the very first Malayalam film compete for Golden Goblet award at 15th Shanghai international film festival.
Dr.Biju has debuted as Writer and Director with the film Saira (2005). It was the opening film in the section �Cinema Of The World� at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2007. �Raman � Travelogue of Invasion� (2008) and �The way home� are his other films.

The renowned movie on the running tent cinema �Touring Talkies� has now made the entire country in awe by taking part in the race for Oscar 2014. The makers of the movie have already entrusted the job of projecting the movie to the global level with All Lights Film Services.
The movie is based on the concept of roaming cinema which was one of the oldest traditions in the bygone era of Indian cinema where the movies were showcased in tents for the local folks also known as Touring talkies. The story revolves around main protagonist girl named Chandi (by Trupti Bhoir) who runs one such tent called ‘Chandi Touring Talkies’, her competitor Subhnya (by Milind Shinde) who runs the rival �Shehenshah� talkies, her younger brother Babulal (by Chinmay Sant) who aspires to be a Director in the future, Raja Rangeela (by Kishore Kadam) the announcer for the talkies, Avinash an avid filmmaker from the world of art films (played by Subodh Bhave) and others. Chandi�s struggles to get her tent back from the mortgage in the stipulated time of six months, makes the story realistic and entertaining. Well acclaimed filmmaker from Maharashtra who has bagged several national awards for direction, Gajendra Ahire is the director of �Touring Talkies. The script and dialouges of the film has also credited to him.
Trupti Bhoir, the central character in the film who is also the producer of the film, is one among the most celebrated actors from Maharashtra. Trupti was a part of theatre before entering the mainstream cinema and has set Guinness world record by producing Marathi film �Agadbamb� that revolves around an overweight woman, has sent two entries to the Guinness Book of World Records. One is for shooting the film in 17 days flat with entire body make-up and the second is for shooting a song with make-up put on for 26 hours.
World renowned Indian musician Ilayaraja has composed the music for �Touring Talkies�. He remains one of the most popular composers to have emerged from India.
Most renowned technicians from India like Cinematographer Amol Gole who became a pioneer in digital film making through DSLR cameras, Ballu Saluja, a well appreciated award winning editor who has edited LAGAAN which was nominated at OSCARS in 2002 etc are part of this prestigious film.
The film will be released in Maharashtra theaters by April 19th.
