Aries Group to roll out world’s second CSR movie

- The movie titled ‘Aickkarakonathe Bhishaguaranmaar’ will feature prominent actors apart from twenty talents discovered through the national-level auditions conducted by Indywood Talent Hunt
- The pooja of the movie will be held on 19th May at Poongodu Mahadeva Temple ground at Aickkarakonam, Punalur, at 6 pm.
- The film would be shot at Varkala, Punalur, Ottapalam and would be completed in one schedule.
- On the occasion, Aries Vismayas Max will be honoured by Kerala Minister for Forests, Animal Husbandry and Zoos Adv. K. Raju for being the first studio in India to receive the prestigious Indywood accreditation.
Kollam (19-05-2018): UAE-based Aries Group is becoming a role model in utilizing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Funds effectively. Under the leadership of leading NRI industrialist turned Hollywood director Sohan Roy, Aries Group is all set to produce the world’s second CSR movie. It is for the first time in the country's history that a corporate is investing its CSR funds for movie production besides utilizing the money in sectors such as education, healthcare, sanitation, poverty alleviation and calamity relief.
The pooja of the movie titled ‘Aickkarakonathe Bhishaguaranmaar’ will be held on 19th May (Saturday) at Poongodu Mahadeva Temple ground at Aickkarakonam, Punalur, at 6 pm. Kerala Minister for Forests, Animal Husbandry and Zoos Adv. K. Raju will inaugurate the function.
“Aickkarakonathe Bhishaguaranmaar will mark the launch of Project Indywood’s ambitious plan to produce 1,000 regional movies in India in the next five years. Besides prominent actors from the industry, twenty talents discovered through the national-level auditions conducted by Indywood Talent Hunt will play important roles in the movie. Biju Majeed will direct the movie,” said Sohan Roy, Chairman and CEO, Aries Group while addressing the media at Press Club here on Saturday.

“On the occasion Kerala Minister for Forests, Animal Husbandry and Zoos Adv. K. Raju will honour Trivandrum-based Aries Vismayas Max, a subsidiary of Aries Group, for being the first studio in India to receive the prestigious Indywood accreditation,” he added.
The movie will be co-produced by Abhini Sohan and Prabhiraj Nadarajan under the banner of Aries Telecasting Private Limited. The script is written by K. Shibu Raj. P C Lal will wield the camera while Biju Ram will compose the music. Editing will be done by Johnson Iringole while Anil Ankamaly will be the production controller. The film would be shot at Varkala, Punalur and Ottapalam and would be completed in one schedule.
Aries Group had bankrolled the world’s first charity movie by a corporate in 2016. The movie titled ‘Jalam’ directed by M. Padmakumar starring Priyanka Nair in the lead won numerous national and international accolades. The movie also got listed in Oscar shortlist under Best Picture, Original Score and Original Song (four songs) categories.
Aries Marine and Engineering Service’s Punalur office, a subsidiary of the 20-year old Aries Group, is celebrating its third anniversary. As part of Aries Foundation’s inauguration, the group will distribute medical kits, notebooks and sports kits to selected individuals and from underprivileged families. A music show by renowned playback singer and music director Jassie Gift will be held as part of anniversary celebrations. Eminent personalities from various walks of life will attend the event.

The 10 billion US dollar initiative aims to catapult the Indian movie industry into a global phenomenon in the next five years. Indywood consortium has the solid support of 2,000 Indian billionaires and large number of global industrial giants.
Indywood envisages to build 10,000 multiplex screens with 4K quality, one lakh of 4K/2K home theatre projectors, film schools and animation/VFX studios.
4th Indywood Film Carnival in Hyderabad
The 4th edition of Indywood Film Carnival will be held at Hyderabad from 1st to 5th of December 2018. Over 5,000 industrial representatives from 100 countries, more than 500 exhibitors and prominent investors will participate. The five day event will cater to exhibition and sale of products and services covering every aspect of movie industry including film production, distribution, advertising and theatres.
Over 100 films which were part of the All Lights India International Film Festival (ALIIFF) will be screened during the carnival. Another highlight of the event will be the Indywood Talent Hunt (ITH), which is a platform for individuals from all over the country to showcase their talent and interact with towering personalities from the industry. Indywood Talent Hunt, held in cooperation with Indywood Talent Club, offers one lakh rupees as prize money in nine categories including acting, direction, modeling and choreography. These talents will be offered a chance to work in the industry as well.
